Hello, I’m Martin. I was born and raised in the south west of England, migrating to Adelaide, South Australia back in 2011.
I began my Tiling career 18 years ago, aged 17. After finishing up my two-year apprenticeship in 2004. I decided to go at it alone, setting up my own business as a sole trader.
I spent the next 7 years working on projects around Wiltshire, Glastonbury and London. Gaining a lot of experience early on in my career working with natural stone in heritage listed buildings in and around the Georgian city of Bath UK.
My partner and I decided to pack up and travel to Australia on a working holiday visa in 2011. – Two weeks into our trip, I was offered a job working fulltime for a tiling company in the western suburbs of Adelaide.
After 3 months in Adelaide we were really enjoying the Australian lifestyle; warm weather, beaches on our doorstep, weekend adventures were like mini holidays. Safe to say, it wasn’t long before we began to see ourselves making a life out here.
We promptly started the process of applying for permanent residency and once again, albeit on the other side of the world, I went off on my own sub-contracting tiling work around Adelaide and the Hills. Also spending 6 weeks working on a large project in Uluru, Northern Territory.
Now 8 years on, I have managed to network within the construction industry, acquiring a steady flow of work. All of my work to date has been obtained through word of mouth, recommendations from satisfied customers and referrals from tradesman that will happily put their name to me providing a quality service to their friends, family and clients every time.
I consistently take pride in my work and endeavour to leave each and every job as what I like to call “the business card that speaks for itself” with the consistently high quality standard of work for you to enjoy and your friends and family to admire.
I am fully qualified, insured and hold relevant SA trade contractors building licence and supervisors registration issued by CBS.
